Wrigley Cares: Michael Ray’s shelter pup inspires him to help other animals in need

Atlantic/Warner Music NashvilleAs Michael Ray kicks off his Get to You Tour, he’s also launching a new initiative to help local animal shelters.

“Wrigley Cares:  Helping Animals in Need” is named for the puppy Michael adopted this summer at Chicago’s Country Lakeshake festival.

“Wrigley is a huge part of my life,” the Florida native says. “She’s on the road with us and she’s there for all the major moments. She changed my life back in June and I’m hoping we can change the lives of other shelter dogs by lending a helping hand.”

A donation station will be set up at each stop on Michael’s tour for collecting items that shelters need the most, including wet and dry dog and cat food, and new or slightly used towels and blankets to line crates. Fans who make a donation will also get a code for a discount on Michael’s tour merchandise.
