ABC/Image Group LAHas Jon Pardi recorded a top-secret duet with Miranda Lambert? That seems to be the case, judging from Jon’s cryptic comments in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Next year, the two head out together on Miranda’s Livin’ Like Hippies Tour, and not long ago, they bumped into each other while they were traveling.
“I was sitting at the airport bar — because what else do you do in the airport? — [when] somebody tapped me on the shoulder,” Jon recalls. “[I] turned around and it was Miranda. She was like, ‘Hey, I saw you at the bar, you’re over here by yourself. I just wanted to say hey.’ I was like, ‘That’s so awesome!’”
The two went on to discuss “some other top secret information that might come about in the third record, maybe,” Jon teases, stopping short of saying the two have done a duet.
“That’s still not official…” he adds, before bragging, “It sounds awesome!”
Jon is currently working on his follow-up to his current album, California Sunrise, as its fourth single, “She Ain’t In It,” climbs the chart. The disc’s three previous singles have all gone to #1.
