ABC/Image Group LAChris Stapleton captures the top spot on Billboard’s country albums chart this week, with the second volume of his recordings From A Room.
The CMA Male Vocalist of the Year sold 116,000 copies of From A Room: Volume 2, with a total that increases to 125,000 units when you account for album-equivalent units. By comparison, May’s first set moved 219,000 in its initial week.
On the all-genre Billboard 200, Chris couldn’t quite make it to #1, thanks to a little rock band named U2 and their latest effort, Songs of Experience. From A Room: Volume 2 comes in at #2, just ahead of Taylor Swift, who drops to #3 with Reputation after three weeks at the top.
