ABC/Image Group LAIn years past, Chris Young has confessed that he loves to deck out his mom and dad’s yard for the holidays with the most outrageous decorations he can find.
The It Must Be Christmas singer admits his December tradition even overshadows his own decorations at home.
“I’m the kind of person that, like I always do a real tree, and my family definitely always does a real tree,” he explains. “And what normally ends up happening is I don’t do too much to my house, but it ends up looking like the Griswold family Christmas party in my parents’ yard every year.”
And when Chris feels like evoking scenes from the yuletide classic Christmas Vacation on his parents’ lawn, he says bigger is definitely better.
“At least three years, there’s been more than a 7-foot inflatable at minimum. And not just one, but I’m saying, like, the biggest one that I can find. So that happens every year. I know where all of those boxes are in their house, they’re all numbered. It’s a thing!” he laughs.
