ABC/Mark LevineThe holidays in the Eldredge household are special, but for Brett Eldredge‘s adorable dog, Edgar, it seems like Christmas is every day. As Brett gears up for Christmas, he admits that it’s always an adventure with Edgar.
“My dog Edgar, he gets presents every day so he probably just thinks every day is Christmas,” Brett tells ABC Radio. “I’m trying to keep him from eating the Christmas ornaments, so far he hasn’t eaten any. He likes to tear stuff every once in a while so I have more ornaments up high so hopefully he doesn’t jump up there. But, he could probably find a way to do that too.”
Brett says Edgar is a great pup to have around for Christmas and it’s easy to see why. In a recent video posted to his Instagram page, Brett is dressed as Santa Claus while Edgar drags him around in a sleigh pretending to be a reindeer.
“@edgarboogie the red nosed reindeer and I are flying to your house…please leave cookies…,” Brett captions the adorable clip. In another video, Brett shares his Christmas cookie eating wisdom with Edgar, who is seated at the table across from him. While 2017 marks Edgar’s second Christmas with the Eldredge clan, it will surely be fun.
Earlier today, Brett brought some holiday cheer to Live with Kelly and Ryan where he performed the title track off his 2016 holiday album, Glow. Unfortunately, Edgar was nowhere to be found.
