Sony LegacyWillie Nelson has been forced to cancel his shows for the rest of this week, as he recuperates from “a bad cold or the flu,” his longtime publicist tells The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The 84-year-old left the stage halfway through the opening song “Whiskey River” at Harrah’s Resort Southern California on Saturday, according to fans at the concert. Willie’s coughing and wheezing was so severe, he wasn’t able to complete his set.
The 84-year-old returned to his ranch in Texas to recover, calling off two dates at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, as well as a concert in Laughlin, Nevada. Willie’s next show is set for February 7, at the Macon, Georgia City Auditorium, according to his website.
