Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Jon Pardi, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, LANCO, Lauren Alaina, Maddie & Tae, Ryan Hurd and more all turned out Sunday night to welcome Dierks’ new bar to the Music City scene.
“It’s really a full-circle moment for me to be opening Whiskey Row on this street,” Dierks said. “When I first moved to Nashville, Broadway was my second home…”
“I was the first artist to be hired and fired from The Stage,” he revealed, mentioning a competing venue. “It’s surreal to think that now I can just jump in my truck and run over here anytime, and that it might possibly be a place where new artists could get their start.”
Dierks and his famous friends turned the night into a tribute to the country classics of the nineties: TR did his dad Rhett Akins’ hit “That Ain’t My Truck,” while Maren covered Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine.” Brothers Osborne tackled Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochie,” before Dierks returned with Lauren Alaina and LANCO’s Brandon Lancaster to do Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man.”
The three-story historic building on Nashville’s Lower Broadway boasts the highest rooftop bar among the famed stretch of honky tonks.
