CMTOn Thursday night’s new episode of Nashville on CMT, Juliette Barnes uncovers a painful childhood memory thanks to self-help guru Darius Enright.
During a therapy session, Juliette recalls being molested as a child, at the hands of a wealthy acquaintance of her now-dead mother. Darius pushes the star even further, leading her to remember it happened repeatedly and was facilitated by her mother, in return for money.
Meanwhile, Avery Barkley, Gunnar Scott and Will Lexington continue to pursue performing together, with both record label head Deacon Claybourne and manager Bucky Dawes showing interest in the trio. Behind-the-scenes, however, the three clash, with Gunnar feeling like the upbeat Will monopolizes the stage, while Will accuses Gunnar of being stuck in a cycle of sad songs. Though Avery is aggravated at being forced to play peacemaker, the three still manage to thrill fans.
Gunnar’s ex, Scarlett O’Connor, continues to forsake her music career, in favor of volunteering to work with therapy horses on a farm. Though she struggles to find her place in the program, Scarlett ultimately finds it satisfying.
Romance continues to blossom for Deacon and Jessie Caine, though their teenage children are none too thrilled. After Daphne Conrad and Jessie’s son are forced to collaborate on a school biology project, the two eventually forge a friendship.
