Mitchell Main Street and Beyond is looking for your opinion regarding the popular summer Downtown Thursday event. Executive Director Jen Johnston is inviting everyone to participate in an on-line poll whether to keep Downtown Thursday on Thursdays or move the event to Fridays.
“Everyone of course wants to see higher attendance and this event will be in its fourth year,” said Johnston. “While it’s done very well when we do the monthly events, we definitely think we could see closer to 2,000 people.”
She says the ultimate goal is to get more people downtown.
The poll is on Mitchell Main Street and Beyond’s Facebook page and is open until next Monday so you have plenty of time to vote. Nearly 250 have voted as of early Tuesday morning.
The results will help plan for this summer’s events next to the Corn Palace.
