Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion members score a Triple Play

Country Music AssociationSam HuntThomas Rhett and Old Dominion‘s Matthew RamseyTrevor Rosen and Brad Tursi have all scored a Triple Play.

They’re just some of the 2018 recipients of the CMA Triple Play Awards, an honor given to songwriters who’ve penned at least three number-one hits in a twelve-month period.

TR’s dad Rhett AkinsZach CrowellJesse FrasureAshley GorleyBen Hayslip, and Josh Osborne are in this year’s class, as well. They’ll be celebrated February 20 during a private lunch, followed by a special edition of the CMA Songwriters Series that same night.

Fellow honorees Shane McAnallyRoss Copperman, and The Warren Brothers’ Brad and Brett will host the Tuesday show at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works. Tickets go on sale to the public next Tuesday.
