Miranda Lambert hints at Pistol Annies reunion

ABC/Image Group LAMiranda Lambert and Pistol Annies members Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley have never ruled out the possibility of a reunion, and now it seems a new album could be in the works.

Following an Instagram post in January where Miranda hinted at a third record for the trio, she’s now sharing some details behind what could be a new song for the group.

“Literally the other night I had a song that kind of just came out of the air to me, and I sent a verse and a chorus to the girls,” she says in a recent interview with CMT.  “I sent them half a song, and then within three minutes, I had a whole song. They both sent me a verse back. And I was, ‘And, we’re back.’ We’re very much in the spirit of the Annies right now.”

Pistol Annies previously released two albums: 2011’s critically acclaimed Hell on Heels and its sophomore follow-up, Annie Up, before they took a break so all three women could focus on their individual careers.
