Imagination Library of Congress? Dolly books a date in D.C.

ABC/Lou RoccoOn Tuesday, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will hand out its 100 millionth book. But instead of dropping it in the mail as usual, Dolly will donate it to the Library of Congress.

You can watch the live ceremony from Washington, D.C. starting at 10 a.m. ET on February 27 via Facebook. Dolly’s expected to read to a group of local school kids, and announce a new partnership with the Library of Congress as well.

Inspired by her own father, who was illiterate, Dolly launched the Imagination Library in 1995 in East Tennessee.  Since then, it’s spread across the U.S., to the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, sending free books to kids all around the world from birth to age five.
