ABC/Image Group LA Carly Pearce already has a #1 hit to her name — “Every Little Thing” — and now she’s up for an Academy of Country Music award too.
“I have dreamt of being nominated for an ACM award my entire life,” the newcomer said in a statement, after finding out she’s up for New Female Vocalist of the Year. “All the years I watched the show from my couch, wondering if I’d ever make it to the awards as a nominee, are coming true.”
“I LOVE YOU COUNTRY MUSIC!!” she added.
The Kentucky native’s second single, “Hide the Wine,” is climbing the chart now. We’ll find out if she takes home the trophy Sunday, April 15, when the 53rd ACM Awards air live at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
