BBR Music Group Runaway June’s second single, “Wild West,” is busy making a place for itself in country’s top 40, just as the trio scores their first Academy of Country Music nomination.
Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne are in the running for New Vocal Duo or Group at this year’s 53rd annual awards. Their competition includes High Valley, LANCO, Midland and LoCash.
“We are overwhelmed with excitement,” the three said in a statement. “A nomination from your peers feels like an award of its own. We could not be more grateful and thrilled! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us!”
“Vegas baby!” they added, referencing the show’s longtime home.
We’ll find out if Runaway June can take home the trophy on Sunday, April 15, when the awards air live on CBS.
