ABC/Image Group LA Get ready for the hijinks, as Rascal Flatts take Dan + Shay on tour with them this summer. In fact, it seems like the madness may’ve already started.
You can get a glimpse of what’s ahead in a new video Flatts just posted to their socials. It’s titled “Tea Time,” and in it, Gary LeVox is inexplicably dressed in head-to-toe camo. Even his face is painted.
He and Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney go on to get silly and throw a little shade, while discussing what they do for vocal warm-ups.
The talk finally gets to the real crux of Gary’s problem with the duo: “Shay has tried to steal every single vocal lick that I’ve ever done,” he accuses, going on to add it’s both “humbling” and “a little awkward.”
Of course, it’s all just for show. In truth, Shay co-wrote Rascal Flatts’ #1 “I Like the Sound of That,” and he and Dan both had a hand in writing “Hopin’ You Were Lookin’” from the trio’s most recent album.
The Back to Us Tour kicks off June 8 in Hartford, Connecticut, with Carly Pearce also along for the trek.
