Morgan Evans’ “Kiss Somebody” competes for a major award Down Under

ABC/Image Group LA Morgan Evans‘ “Kiss Somebody” has just become his first top-25 country hit in the U.S. But in his native Australia, Kelsea Ballerini‘s better half is already up for a major honor.

“Kiss Somebody” is nominated for “Country Work of the Year” at the APRA Awards. The trophies are handed out by the Australian Performing Rights Association, to recognize songwriting achievement on the Australian charts in the past year. 

Morgan competes against Aussie artists Kasey ChambersThe McClymonts and Caitlyn Shadbolt for the honor. The ARPA Awards will be handed out April 10 in Sydney, Australia.
