Mitchell’s Wingapalooza found a new home at the Corn Palace this year and wings fans followed with more than 500 people wolfing down the best chicken wings in town.
Mitchell Main Street and Beyond’s Jen Johnston says this is the organization’s largest fund-raiser.
Eleven teams competed for the title of Mitchell’s best wings.
The Moose Lodge’s Spicy Honey Garlic wings took first-place in the regular category, followed by Overtime Steak House and Sports Bar’s Hul’s Gold and MTI’s Smoked Peach Barbeque.
First-place in Hot Wings went to MTI’s Fighting Ballerina Wings followed by the Moose Lodge’s Moose Sweat and Coborn’s Tropical Habanero.
Overtime Steak House and Sports Bar’s Hul’s Gold Wings won the people’s choice award, followed by Any Time Fitness Huffle-Puff and MTI’s Smoked Peach Barbeque.
