Miranda Lambert may be Livin’ Like Hippies, but her “Little Red Wagon” is overflowing

ABC/Image Group LAMiranda Lambert’s fans not only turned out to see the passionate dog-lover on her Livin’ Like Hippies tour, they also showered no-kill shelters in 22 cities with dog food, supplies, toys, treats and cash.

It’s all part of the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year’s ongoing Fill the Little Red Wagon campaign, which takes its name from her top-five single from 2015. It’s one of Miranda’s passion projects, fueled by her MuttNation non-profit.

“My fans are passionate,” Miranda says. “They care about music and they care about animals. Without them, neither my music nor MuttNation could reach as many people or help as many dogs as we do.”

“It’s incredibly heartwarming to see the Little Red Wagon overflowing at each show and it makes me crazy happy to combine two of my biggest loves, music and mutts, every night,” the Texas native adds.

Miranda has eight rescue pups herself. She plans to roll out the red wagon again when she cranks up her Bandwagon Tour this summer with Little Big Town.
