Warner Music NashvilleIt wasn’t “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” but it’s as close as you can come in Music City.
Tuesday evening, Warner Brothers hosted an album release party for Ashley McBryde‘s debut, Girl Going Nowhere, at Melrose Billiard Parlor. The classic Nashville haunt is in the basement, downstairs from the Sutler Saloon, just off 8th Avenue South in Music City.
Ashley didn’t sing or even speak much — vowing instead to retain her composure and not mess up her freshly-done makeup — but instead led the crowd of industry insiders in a “holler and a swoller,” a Nashville version of a toast.
The Arkansas native’s album comes out on Friday, as her song continues to climb in country’s top 40. Ashley’s party was so well-attended, the label had run out of CDs by the time it was over.
