ABC/Image Group LAMorgan Evans has his first top-25 song on the country chart, with his debut single, “Kiss Somebody.” But that’s not the only current song Kelsea Ballerini‘s husband had a hand in writing.
The Australian native also co-wrote Dylan Scott‘s hit, “Hooked,” as well as Eric Paslay‘s new single, “Young Forever.” They’re all a product of his work since relocating to Music City.
“I officially moved to Nashville three years ago,” Evans explains. “After traveling back and forth for years before that, ‘Kiss Somebody’ is the first song I was thrilled to get an opportunity to release from that time.”
Morgan admits it was pretty sweet to recently get to return home and find out his debut single in the U.S. has been certified platinum Down Under.
“It’s hard to describe the feeling,” Morgan says. “Returning to my home country on the other side of the world and hearing a crowd like that singing it back to me like that really is the stuff my dreams are made of.”
Next month, Morgan heads out on Chris Young‘s Losing Sleep World Tour, playing his first date April 5 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
