Luke Bryan believes you need “big ole, crazy hits” to play “big ole” stadiums

ABC/Craig SjodinHaving had twenty career number ones, including twelve chart-toppers in a row, Luke Bryan knows a thing or two about hits. And one of those things is when it comes to a big stadium show like the one he’s staging this summer — hits are exactly what he wants to hear.

“I want fans to be able to come to a show, and… I want them to hear artists with big ole, crazy hits…” he says. “I’ve got friends in the business that they’re trying to get record deals, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I cannot wait until you get a big ole crazy hit, so you can be out on tour with me!’”

With stars like Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Carly Pearce joining him on his stadium run, the four-time Entertainer of the Year should have all his bases covered.

“Pardi and Sam, I mean, they had the two biggest songs of last year, and certainly as a new artist, and to come out like Carly did,” Luke says of the Kentucky native who went to #1 with her debut single.

“I just love to see the fans out there singing these big hits that they’re hearing on the radio,” he goes on. “And I think, when they can come out and see artists in that setting, whether one of my songs is their favorite, or it’s one of these artists, I just enjoy trying to make the best fan experience.”

Speaking of “big ole, crazy hits,” Luke just happens to have one right now, as “Most People Are Good” is on track to spend its second week at #1.

The What Makes You County Tour – XL Stadium Sized trek kicks off May 31 in Toronto, Canada, with newcomer Morgan Wallen also on the bill.
