ABC/Kelsey McNeal“Meant to Be” is currently spending its 18th week atop Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, and the collaboration with pop star Bebe Rexha is helping Florida Georgia Line set another record.
18 weeks equals the number of weeks that FGL’s “H.O.L.Y.” spent atop the tally. The duo’s debut single, “Cruise,”stayed at #1 for 24 weeks in 2012. This means that Tyler Hubbard and Bryan Kelley have three out of five of the longest running #1 hits in the 59-year-old chart’s history.
“That’s huge,” Tyler tells Billboard, adding that “Meant to Be” is “a special song and one that seems to have wings, man, and it keeps flying up the charts and doing its thing. It’s definitely a special one. We’re honored to be a part of it.”
