EMI NashvilleThe new single from Brothers Osborne, “Shoot Me Straight,” keeps on rocking just like their most recent top-ten hit, “It Ain’t My Fault.” But the second track just unveiled from their forthcoming sophomore album has more in common with their first #1, “Stay a Little Longer.”
In the moving ballad, “Pushing Up Daisies (Love Alive),” TJ and John sing of undying affection and ongoing romance: “We’ll go on/‘Til we’re pushing up daisies/Grow old and wild, and I’ll still be calling you baby. Never get enough/We’ll be living it up right down ‘til the day we die/No we ain’t gettin’ out of this love alive.”
“Thank y’all for the ultra kind words about ‘Pushing Up Daisies,'” the reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Duo tweeted shortly after the song’s release on Friday. “So proud of that song. Love hearing the stories about your parents and grandparents and how they’ve stood the test of time together.”
“Pushing Up Daisies” is available to stream or download now, or you can check out an audio-only clip on YouTube. It’s just one of the tunes on Port Saint Joe, which comes out April 20.
