ABC/Image Group LA The relationship between Miranda Lambert and Anderson East is over for now, according to Us Weekly, which cites multiple unnamed sources.
Their two-year relationship came to light following Miranda’s high-profile, surprise divorce from Blake Shelton in 2015. Blake famously united with fellow The Voice coach Gwen Stefani after his split from the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
Us Weekly is still holding out hope for a Miranda-Anderson reunion, however. “They have spent a lot of time apart, but potentially could end up back together,” one of the publication’s sources says. “The love is still there.”
Speculation about a break-up kicked into high-gear last month, after Miranda let a Knoxville, Tennessee, audience in on the emotions she was experiencing.
“Part of feelings is also heartbreak unfortunately,” she said from the stage, “but fortunately for me, I can use it for my art or whatever. I like to write sad songs. I like to listen to sad songs, so I want to sing y’all one.” The 34-year-old then went on to perform her latest single, “Tin Man.”
Throughout the relationship, the two frequently posted about each other on social media. Anderson’s last mention of Miranda came last November, however, while Miranda hasn’t talked about her fellow singer/songwriter since the first of the year.
The 29-year-old Anderson — who was largely unknown before he started dating Miranda — released his latest album, Encore, in January.
