Allister AnnJust days after its release, more than 120 country stations are already playing Kenny Chesney’s “Get Along.” Such a strong response means the song about positivity and tolerance is already a top 30 hit.
Kenny will play the tune live for the first time on Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
“It’s the kind of song when people hear it, they respond,” the eight-time Entertainer of the Year says. “I can’t think of a better place to play it, and I know it’s going to be a big part of my summer tour, too.”
The Trip Around the Sun tour is set to start April 21 at Raymond Jones Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
“I am so ready to get back out to the No Shoes Nation,” Kenny remarks, referring to his fans. “I’ve been thinking about Tampa for the last three months, knowing it’s coming — and now it’s almost here.”
“Even better, I’m heading there with ‘Get Along,’ which is the perfect song for right now. To me, this is where music comes alive,” he adds.
Watch for Kenny’s ACM performance of “Get Along” starting Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, when the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards air live on CBS.
