“Life Changes”: The autobiography of Thomas Rhett in three minutes

The Valory Music Co.Thomas Rhett’s fourth single from his Life Changes album will be the title cut. And if you’re wondering just how true-to-life the tune is, consider this: TR even namechecks his career-defining hit, “Die a Happy Man,” in the track.

“This song is basically my autobiography in three minutes,” TR says. “It covers my college years, marrying Lauren, becoming a dad and the evolution of my music career.”

“It’s definitely the most personal song I’ve ever written,” he continues, “but we all go through a lot in life whatever the story is, so I think the sentiment is something a lot of people can relate to.”

The three previous singles from Life Changes — “Craving You,” “Unforgettable,” and “Marry Me” — have all found a home at the top of the chart.

TR takes a break from his Life Changes Tour this weekend to attend the ACM festivities in Las Vegas. He hits the road again April 19 in Augusta, Georgia with Brett Young and Carly Pearce.
