Big Loud RecordsJake Owen’s tribute to John Mellencamp’s 1982 classic, “Jack & Diane,” wasted no time becoming a top-15 hit, and you can expect a new video to follow any day now.
The treatment for “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” features a storyline that transports us back to the eighties, when Mellencamp’s hit spent four weeks at #1 on the pop charts. Taillight’s Justin Clough directed the two-day shoot.
Taillight is the production company behind Thomas Rhett’s “Marry Me” video, which is up for the ACM for Video of the Year this weekend.
“I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” is Jake’s debut single from his forthcoming first album for Big Loud Records.
