ABC/Image Group LAWhen Lady Antebellum kicks off their co-headlining Summer Plays On Tour with Darius Rucker this summer, drummer Chris Tyrrell will be missing. But wife Hillary Scott says there’s nothing to worry about.
Hillary tells People that Chris will be at home raising their three daughters. She explains that he’ll “be holding it down as Dad, hero” at home in Nashville “for the time being.”
Chris says the decision was a no-brainer. “[I’m] looking forward to it. I’ve been a bandmate, employee, husband and dad, so I’m okay removing a hat. Besides, when you looked at whether the band could do without me or her, there wasn’t much question!”
The couple welcomed identical twin girls Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn Jan. 29. They also have a four-and-a-half year-old daughter, Eisele [EYES-lee].
“We feel at complete peace with the decision,” Hillary says. “We just came to that agreement together. It was one of the easiest decisions we’ve ever made and the peace that we’ve felt since we made it has just been continual proof of it being the right call.”
Lady Antebellum’s tour begins on July 19 in Toronto.
