ABC RadioWhen Garth Brooks takes the stage Sunday night to close Stagecoach in Indio, California, it’ll be his first festival appearance since coming out of retirement, and only his third concert of 2018.
To say the CMA Entertainer of the Year is hyped up would be an understatement.
“You know, this is going to be the first festival that we’ve gotten to play in the modern era, and I’m excited,” Garth explains.
“Keith Urban’s on there,” he continues, “so I had to text Keith, ‘Hey, man. What’re these things like?’ And he said, ‘It’ll be the most fun you’ve ever had.’ So to tell Garth Brooks it’s going to be the most fun you’ve ever had? I’m so looking forward to it!”
Keith is Saturday night’s headliner.
Garth’s pal Lee Brice is set to play Sunday too, as is Garth’s better half, two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Trisha Yearwood.
