Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott admits she’s scaled back her glam routine now that 13-week-old twins Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn have joined her four-and-a-half year-old daughter Eisele Kaye.
“I will say, if I gotta run out the door, I pretty much draw on my eyebrows, put my hair in a bun and maybe have time for a little wand of mascara,” she tells People, laughing. “And I really try to take a shower everyday! That is just full transparency.”
If you noticed how fantastic Hillary looked during Lady A’s performance of “Heart Break” on the ACM Awards, the mother of three says it’s just one of the benefits of breast-feeding.
“I will say feeding twins does a number on your body!” she confesses. “I think the stat is I am burning 1,500 calories a day feeding my girls. You can’t do anything really in a workout class that burns that much.”
Hillary and Lady A hit the road in July with Darius Rucker on their co-headlining Summer Plays On tour. In the meantime, she’s partnering with Herbal Essences for their Pregnant Women Can campaign.
