Kenny Chesney lands two songs in country’s top ten, after a weekend sell-out in Minneapolis

Allister AnnKenny Chesney offered up plenty of local flavor Saturday night, as he played for a sold-out crowd of more than 48,000 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Bass player Harmoni Kelly wore a Prince t-shirt, as a tribute to the late legend who was a Minneapolis native, while Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer joined Kenny onstage during “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.”

“Minneapolis always comes to have the best time, and they never fail,” Kenny says. “And this year, it was a whole other level. Whether it was how loud they sang ‘Anything But Mine’ back to us, or just the volume of the cheering for David Lee Murphy when he came out to sing ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’ with us, it was an incredible amount of energy, joy, intensity coming at the stage.”

This week, Kenny happens to have two songs in country’s top ten: his duet with the “Dust on the Bottle” hitmaker and his own single, “Get Along.”

The Trip Around the Sun trek resumes May 19 at the home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium.
