ABC/Image Group LA Alan Jackson joins the ranks of Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson next month in New York City, when he’ll be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
It’s more than a country honor, though: rock legends like Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan are members of the Hall too, as well as classic American composers like Irving Berlin and Cole Porter.
The Country Music Hall of Famer will be officially welcomed June 14 during a gala in the Big Apple.
The accolades for Alan don’t end there. He’ll also accept the Cliffie Stone Icon Award August 22 at the ACM Honors at Nashville’s historic Roman Auditorium.
In the meantime, Jackson kicks off the latest leg of his Honky Tonk Highway Tour June 22 in Brandon, Mississippi.
