Capitol NashvilleKeith Urban inhabits a surreal, dreamlike world in the new video for his latest top-15 hit, “Coming Home.”
It’s all part of a vision Keith created with first-time collaborator Andy Hines, who directed the clip.
“The concept for the video was really Andy[‘s] idea,” Keith explains. “He suggested the heightened reality that we see in the video, which keeps it more like a dream — an idea, more than an actuality.”
In the beginning, the Australian superstar leaves a dark, urban apartment and instantly appears in a bright, grassy field by the mountains. Later, he passes through his deconstructed bedroom walls to catch a cab, just steps away. The taxi takes him to a bar in Little Tokyo, where he performs with Julia Michaels, who both co-wrote and sings on the tune.
“It was also important to have Julia there,” Keith adds. “She’s great energy to be around and I love singing with her, so I wanted us to be on stage at the same time to capture that.”

Keith’s currently in rehearsals for his 62-city Graffiti U World Tour with Kelsea Ballerini. It kicks off June 15 in St. Louis.
