ABC/Randy HolmesThe opening date on Luke Bryan‘s What Makes You Country Tour — XL Stadium Sized was a big night for newcomer Morgan Wallen: Not only was the Toronto show his first performance outside the U.S., it was also his first time playing a stadium.
Meanwhile, Morgan’s breakthrough hit, “Up Down” with Florida Georgia Line, is just two spots away from entering country’s top five.
The East Tennessee native has a busy week ahead. He’ll play the Stars for Second Harvest benefit Tuesday night at Music City’s historic Ryman Auditorium, before taking the stage Thursday at 7 p.m. CT at Blake’s Shelton‘s Ole Red Nashville.
Morgan’s official CMA Fest activities continue on Sunday, June 10, when he performs on the Riverfront Stage at 1:45, before signing autographs for an hour at the CMA Fan Experience booth inside Fan Fair X at Music City Center. Morgan’s writer’s cramp should start setting in about 3 p.m. CT.
