ABC RadioFor the second night in a row during CMA Fest 2018, Blake Shelton took the stage at Ole Red Nashville, proving his new restaurant and bar is a thriving destination for live music.
Hunter Hayes led a jam session that included Morgan Evans, Charlie Worsham, and Nashville‘s Charles Esten, as well as newcomers Cale Dodds, The Sisterhood Band, and Maggie Rose.
Cale covered John Mellencamp‘s “Hurts So Good,” while Morgan delivered Tom Petty‘s “I Won’t Back Down.” Chip Esten ably tackled U2‘s “With or Without You,” while Maggie Rose did Rod Stewart‘s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” — an interesting choice since The Sisterhood’s Ruby Stewart is Rod’s daughter.
Blake’s turn in the spotlight came with his 2004 #1, “Some Beach,” while Hunter also offered up his 2012 chart-topper, “Wanted.”
The performance was part of a series of shows called Hot Country Ole Red sponsored by Spotify, which continue through Saturday night.
