ABC/Paula LoboKelsea Ballerini will premiere her new music video for “I Hate Love Songs” tonight, following her performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium as part of CMA Fest 2018. Country fans in attendance will get a first look at the clip, which will debut on the big screens in the stadium.
“I Hate Love Songs” was filmed on a sound stage in Music City by director Traci Goudie, who captured Kelsea doing everything she can to avoid the trappings of love. The clip includes an interrupted proposal, a failed kiss in the rain, and a successful escape from a tossed bouquet at a wedding.
Kelsea penned the song with Shane McAnally and Old Dominion‘s Trevor Rosen. “I Hate Love Songs” is the second single from her sophomore album, Unapologetically.
The singer is set to perform her new single for the festival crowd Friday evening along with her chart-topping hits, including her most recent number-one single, “Legends.” She returns as co-host with Thomas Rhett for the upcoming three-hour CMA Fest TV special on ABC, which airs Aug. 8 at 8/7 C.
Kelsea will have a few days off before she gears up to join Keith Urban‘s Graffiti U World Tour, which kicks off on June 15. The trek will run through November.
