Capitol NashvilleDierks Bentley can now officially plant the #1 flag on The Mountain.
The Arizona native’s ninth studio effort sold 102,000 copies in its first week, good enough for a #1 debut on the country albums chart. It’s also the best sales week of Dierks’ career so far, besting his previous record, Black, which moved more than 101,000 units in 2016.
The Mountain is Dierks’ seventh #1 on the country albums chart. It checks in at #3 on the all-genre Billboard 200 as well.
On Wednesday, Dierks returns to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the event that inspired him to write and record The Mountain in Colorado.
