ABC/Mark LevineThree years into their relationship, Blake Shelton doesn’t hesitate to admit that he and girlfriend Gwen Stefani are something of an odd match.
“It’s interesting. Even I know that,” he says in the new issue of People. “Like, ‘She’s with him?’”
“When we first started seeing each other,” Blake explains, “friends of mine would be like, ‘What the hell is that all about?’ But then they see us together, and it makes sense.”
After his painful divorce from Miranda Lambert in the summer of 2015, Blake says he’s grateful for calmer days.
“The personal side of my life has been chaotic at times over the last few years,” he confesses, “but it’s kinda settled down now and just feels good.”
These days, the Oklahoma native is already back shooting season 15 of The Voice, though it won’t premiere until the fall. At the same time, he’s also enjoying the success of his new Ole Red restaurants and bars.
“I wouldn’t change one thing about my life right now,” he concludes. “I’m happy. Sometimes happiness can seem like fleeting moments, but this one has been staying in the same lane for a long time.”
