ABC RadioChris Janson will be pulling double duty this Fourth of July.
If you happen to be in Nashville, you can see him performing as part of Music City’s annual celebration on the Riverfront. If you’re at home, you can check out his performance on the Hallmark Channel’s Independence Day special.
The “Drunk Girl” hitmaker recorded his performance Monday in Washington, D.C., accompanied by the U.S. Marine Band and the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters.
“Words have no comparison, to the humility I felt, standing in front of a full room of Marines and Navy,” Chris reflects. “There’s no way to really prepare for that moment, until you’re there [with] the men and women who provide us the luxury and privilege of living in freedom, every single day.”
“An overwhelming amount of love and gratitude mutually filled the room,” he continues. “It will go down as one of the most impactful days of my life.”
Chris performed the track “Our World,” from his Everybody album, as well as “Soul in Your Country,” a song he wrote just last week as a tribute to America’s servicemen and women.
You can watch for Chris’s patriotic Hallmark performance starting at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
