ABC/Image Group LA Chris Lane‘s hometown of Kernersville, North Carolina is less than a couple hundred miles from the South Carolina coast. So growing up, the “Take Back Home Girl” hitmaker typically spent Independence Day catching some waves.
“Growing up we were always at Myrtle Beach for the Fourth of July,” he remembers. “For the last four or five years, I’ve always been touring and playing.”
Once again this year, Chris will celebrate America’s birthday by hanging out with his fans.
“This year I’m gonna be in Milwaukee playing a show at Summerfest,” he explains. “I hear it’s a pretty awesome one. So this year, I’ll get to spend it with, hopefully, lots of fans and then watch some fireworks.”
This week, “Take Back Home Girl” continues its climb in country’s top ten, with Chris’s sophomore album, Laps Around the Sun, arriving July 13.
