Randy Houser gets back to his Mississippi roots with “Magnolia,” coming November 2

BBR Music Group Nearly three years since he released his last record, Fired Up, in early 2016, Randy Houser’s new album, Magnolia, will be out November 2.

Since then, the Mississippi native has been focused on creating a more authentic sound.

“This album was a total reset for me in every way possible,” Randy explains. “With the last album, I just didn’t have time to create, and it was obvious that it didn’t all come from my guts. Because of that, the music just didn’t feel as genuine.”

“When writing for this new project,” he continues, “I knew the production had to lean on songs and melodies, not a bunch of tricks and loops. That was the catalyst for album. So, for the past two years, we’ve been focused on trying to find a unique sound and trying to best serve the songs.”

The collection’s opening track, “No Stone Unturned,” is available to stream or download now, and so is the  lead single, “What Whiskey Does.”

The “We Went” hitmaker will also kick off the Magnolia tour in October, with tickets going on sale Wednesday.
