ABC/Kelsey McNeal“Meant to Be” is proving to be the hit that just keeps on going. Currently at a record-setting 39 weeks and counting on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs tally, the collaboration between Florida Georgia Line and pop star Bebe Rexha is already the biggest hit ever in the chart’s history.
Just this week, the smash locked in nominations in three CMA categories for FGL: Duo, Single and Musical Event of the Year. Bebe could also grab her first-ever CMA wins in the Single and Musical Event categories.
“‘Meant to Be’ is bigger than us,” Tyler Hubbard admits. “To see how this song has connected to fans has been nothing short of a blessing and having these CMA nominations makes it that much more special.”
Brian Kelley carries on the thought: “‘Meant to Be’ has been reaching people worldwide for almost a full year now and it just keeps getting better. We’re proud to be on this journey with Bebe and so excited for her first CMA nominations too.”
We’ll find out if FGL and Bebe can take home the trophies on Wednesday, November 14, when the 52nd CMA Awards air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC.
By the way, today happens to be Bebe’s 29th birthday.
