ABC/Mark Levine It looks like Kelsea Ballerini may be following in the footsteps of Maren Morris and Florida Georgia Line, as she seems to be readying her own potential crossover hit with Grammy-winning electronic duo The Chainsmokers.
Maren scored a huge smash with “The Middle” by teaming up with Zedd and electronic duo Grey, while FGL did the same by collaborating with Bebe Rexha on “Meant to Be.”
Tuesday on social media, Kelsea and The Chainsmokers teased fans with the news that something’s in the works.
“Kelsea you think they’re ready?” the duo tweeted.
“It’s like your READING MY MIND,” she responded. “I’m in.”
This wouldn’t be the first time The Chainsmokers have collaborated with a country artist. They recorded the track “Last Day Alive” with FGL for their Memories…Do Not Open album last year, and even came to Nashville to perform the song on the CMT Music Awards.
Stay tuned to see what Kelsea and the guys are up to. Meanwhile, her top-30 hit, “I Hate Love Songs,” continues to climb the country chart.
