ABC/Randy Holmes“Tequila” continues to be the song that’s helping take Dan + Shay to the next level.
Wednesday morning, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney grabbed their first-ever American Music Awards nods, for Favorite Country Duo or Group, as well as Favorite Country Song for “Tequila.”
“What a year 2018 continues to be for us,” Dan says in a statement, “and we’re so excited to celebrate our first American Music Awards with two nominations!”
“Thanks to all the fans,” he adds. “It’s because of you!”
Voting for the AMAs is open now, both online and via Twitter, with all the information at TheAMAs.com.
We’ll find out who wins Tuesday, October 9, as the ceremony airs live from Los Angeles on ABC.
“Speechless,” Dan + Shay’s follow-up to “Tequila,” is currently making its way up the chart.
