ABC/Mark LevineKelsea Ballerini had a whirlwind birthday week. After ringing in the big 2-5 on Sept. 12 in Mexico with eight of her best friends, she returned to the U.S. to attend a Taylor Swift concert.
The “I Hate Love Songs” singer headed to Indianapolis Saturday evening, where Taylor was performing at Lucas Oil Stadium on her Reputation tour. The pop star broke an attendance record that night, surpassing the venue’s 67,000 capacity crowd. During the major accomplishment, Kelsea was by her side backstage, raving about her friend’s latest feat.
“Biggest fan and proudest friend,” Kelsea shared on Instagram.
Taylor, meanwhile, thanked her fans on social media following her record-breaking set.
“A huge thank you to everyone who came to the show last night in Indianapolis. You guys broke the concert attendance record at Lucas Oil Stadium, and I loved dancing with you. It’s pretty surreal that we only have 5 shows left in America cause it feels like this tour just started,” she captioned on Instagram.
In addition to dancing the night away at Taylor’s show Saturday, Kelsea shared plenty of news with fans last week. The singer is set to embark on a tour next year with Kelly Clarkson, and drop new music tomorrow with electronic pop duo The Chainsmokers.
