RCA Nashville Get ready for a dramatic new version of Dolly Parton’s classic, “Jolene.”
Dolly created the alternate take on her #1 from 1973 for the Jennifer Aniston film Dumplin’, slowing it down and being backed solely by soaring strings, directed by producer Linda Perry.
You can check out the “New String Version” of “Jolene” on YouTube, in a new video shot for Dolly & Friends: Making of a Soundtrack, which premieres Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on CMT.
Then on Friday, Dolly guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the same day the full album becomes available. The Dumplin’ film arrives the following Friday via Netflix.
