MCA NashvilleKing George wants to take you for a ride in his Honky Tonk Time Machine in 2019. That’s the title of George Strait’s next album, the Country Music Hall of Famer revealed earlier this month during his concerts at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Strait also played some of his new music for fans, including his new single, “Codigo,” which was inspired by the brand of tequila he co-owns.
Strait also rolled out “God & Country Music” and “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” which he co-wrote with his son Bubba and his longtime collaborator, Dean Dillon.
George told the crowd the threesome was ready to call it quits after a late night of writing, when Bubba came up with “Whiskey is the gasoline that lights the fire that burns the bridge,” the opening line of “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar.”
