Brittany WilsonChristmas came early for 70 families in Louisiana, thanks to Dylan Scott. The “My Girl” singer played Santa Claus on Wednesday when he shared gifts with local residents that he purchased from the money raised from his inaugural Bayou Stock concert earlier this year.
Bayou Stock raised over $30,000 for Northeast Louisiana kids in need. Dylan then used that money to buy gifts for 70 hand-selected families in the area. He was joined by his wife, Blair, and one-year-old son Beckett as he passed out the Christmas gifts.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to give back to my hometown community and bring some much needed joy to these families,” Dylan says in a statement. “I couldn’t have done it without the numerous donors and the 4,000 fans who attended the first Bayou Stock and made this all possible. I look forward to making this an even bigger event in the coming years.”
Bayou Stock included performances by Dylan, Mark Chesnutt, Morgan Evans, and Lainey Wilson, among others. Held in Sterlington, Louisiana, the event marked one of the largest country festivals in the area in over 10 years.
