Daniel Vorlet Dustin Lynch returned to his hometown earlier this month for his fifth annual Dustin Lynch & Friends Benefit Concert. The Tullahoma, TN, native raised $25,000 on Dec. 11 for local children’s charities.
The annual concert was held in the auditorium of Dustin’s former high school and raised money for Tullahoma Day Care and the Coffee County Children’s Advocacy Center. Each organization received a $12,500 donation raised from the concert proceeds.
“I’ve been given such a great platform; I’ve been blessed to be able to chase my dreams, and that comes from having a great foundation at home,” Dustin tells local newspaper The Tullahoma News. “They ask me every year if I want to keep doing this, and the answer is absolutely. We’re going to keep doing this as long as you’ll have us.”
In the past five years, the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry has raised over $100,000 for local charities. This year’s performers included Lauren Alaina and songwriters Paul Overstreet, Wendell Mobley, and Justin Ebach.
