Kane Brown kicked off his headlining Live Forever Tour last week with sold-out shows in Duluth, Georgia; Pensacola, Florida; and Columbus, Georgia.
The “Good as You” hitmaker says he’s amped up his show, as he transitions from opening for stars like Jason Aldean and Chris Young into sitting at the top of the bill himself.
“We just got really fluid on changing songs really quick, so there’s no dead space,” Kane explains. “And our set, our production is crazy now, from what we went from last year.”
“And just the fans and the energy,” he adds, “everybody is there to see me, you know, and our openers, but it’s like my show. So I’m really excited about it, and it’s just been a great three shows so far.”
Kane’s also doing something special for members of the Boys & Girls Club at every stop on the tour.
“We set up a VIP experience,” he tells ABC Radio. “I’m trying to just talk to them and share my life story with them and how I was raised, and, you know, just [tell them to] keep your head on your shoulders.”
Kane adds: “[T]hey get to experience the show and sit side-stage and get to hang out with me and take a meet-and-greet picture. It’s just awesome to get to see the kids and actually get to give back.”
It’s time Kane values, since he says his youngest fans are often hesitant to approach him.
“They wear my hats, and they’ll wear, like, fake tattoo sleeves,” he says, “and then their mom’s the one that tells me, like, ‘They love you,’ because they’re usually too shy to talk to me.”
This week, Kane and openers Granger Smith and RaeLynn travel to Independence, Missouri; Southaven, Mississippi; and Norman, Oklahoma.
